On January 29, 2010, Project Manager Bob Francis received a $5,000 grant for SNAP, made possible by the Venturi Brighter Day Employee Fund. The Venturi Brighter Day Employee Fund was created and is totally funded by the 50 employees at Venturi, Inc. of Huntsville. Their intentions are to support worthy causes within their community aimed at improving the lives of those less fortunate. Since 2008, the Fund has made possible 21 grants totaling more than $86,000.

The award was received at Venturi`s quarterly breakfast at the Westin Hotel in Huntsville. Chris Simpson, President of the Brighter Day Board ,is shown, upper left, introducing Bob Francis and Derek Johns, Grant Evaluator, presented the check.
